Not really close to the metro at all. It was more like 2 km than 700 meters. Also, when we asked the hotel staff where it was, they
1. Didn't know enough English to tell us
2. When we looked it up in the dictionary, they didn't know where it was
3. They just told us to take a taxi.
4. Eventually they were able to deciper where it was when we took out a map to look.
Next, we had to move rooms 2 times. They gave us the wrong room the first time. The second time, our room had a really BAD SEWAGE LIKE smell in it, so we moved again. The last room was okay, but there was a leaky pipe near the bathroom as there was a permanant wet spot there (not caused by us) and it slightly smelled, but that smell eventually went away.
The staff was really not that friendly either. They do not even attempt to communicate with us, even when we were able to get our questions across.
Lastly, the deal breaker was our last morning there. There was not enough water pressure, so we were not able to use ANYTHING water related (shower, sink, TOILET). Since we were in a hurry, we could not complain or change facilities.
I would not recommend this hotel, even for native Chinese speakers.
Even for penny pinchers, it's really not a deal at all with all the hassle we had to deal with. |
