1. How do I make a hotel reservation?
There are five ways to make a reservation through our agency:
a. Reservation via the website: please go to our website at http://www.sinohotel.com and follow the instructions to book the hotel. Select a hotel and enter your contact info through our automated order system.
b. Reservation by form: We have a fast reservation link from the homepage. Make reservations by using the web page to send us an e-mail.
c. Reservation by e-mail: Please send a request directly by e-mail to sales@sinohotel.com.
d. Reservation by phone. Call international direct call at 8610-61767871. Call domestic in China at 010-61767871. Our toll free number in China is 8008105841.
e. Reservation by fax: please send your fax to 8610-61763374.
Note: All reservations receive the same Internet preferential price regardless the format how they are placed.
2. Is there any reservation number offered?
When you make a reservation via our website, there is an automatically generated file number. That is for tracking your reservation in our system only. The hotel's reservation number (if one is given) will be given via the confirmation email. But please understand that many of the hotels in China do not offer reservation numbers to guests. Providing your name to the reception desk is enough to confirm your booking.
3. What's the most common payment method for reservations booked via sinohotel.com?
Most of the reservations are paid directly to the hotel upon check-in. During peak season the hotel will ask for a one night's room rate or full room rate as deposit to secure the reservation.
Note: Reservations for Hong Kong hotels will often be asked to pay in advance.
4. When will I be asked to give out credit card info?
a. For peak season reservations.
b. For late check-ins after 16:00 (4:00pm).
c. By special request of the hotel.
Your credit card info will be strictly protected by our agency.
5. Is there anything unique about hotels in China that I should know about?
a. When you register at the hotel, you will be asked for a deposit. This amount is approximately twice your room rate. Although some international customers may not like this policy, we can assure them there is little to worry as the hotel will only bill the agreed-upon amount during check-out.
6. What types of rooms are described in sinohotel.com?
Single Room - The room may only accommodate one person only.
Twin Room - The room includes two single beds.
Double Room - The room includes one king-size bed usually for couples.
Suite - The room includes both sitting room and bedroom.
7. What are the usual sizes of the beds?
Single Bed - width 1.2 meters and length 2.0 meters.
Double Bed - width 1.8 meters and length 2.0 meters.
(1 meter = 3.28 feet)
Note: Double bed sizes vary from hotel- to-hotel.
8. Will a marriage certificate be required when a couple checks in?
No marriage certification will be asked if the customers are both international guests. But if one is an international guest and the other a Chinese resident, a marriage certificate will be asked to be furnished upon registering.
9. What's the cancellation policy for a reservation?
In most cases, cancellations are free of charge. Peak season cancellations will incur a penalty-fee. Please see the details in your confirmation e-mail for full terms and conditions once you have made an order.
