Comment
Good location . hotel is old, we stayed in the east wing. Rooms are adequate, breakfast was barely acceptable for a 4 star hotel, service is just acceptable in the restaurant.

Comment
Excellent stay again. Good quality accommodation at a good price with a very friendly and helpful staff. However, extras are expensive eg bottled water & laundry, and all carry service charge !

This was an excellent value for money hotel. Situated in a very pleasant quiet area and very close to shopping areas and markets. Rooms were of a high quality. We had a standard room which was very good and which had excellent views. Stayed three nights.Staff were very friendly with some having good understanding of English. Some good inexpensive restaurants nearby. Hotel fixed a problem caused by us (left luggage) with great efficiency. Room cleaned several times a day. Good convenience store over the road. Very highly recommended. Small hint re travel. We arrived at Guangzhlou East station and got talked in to taking a car which cost 120RMB (bargained down from 180RMB) A taxi from the rank would have cost about 45RMB. SinoHotel was also very good at giving travel advice when asked.

Comment
We enjoyed our stay at the Victory Hotel so much we are going back very soon. The island is wonderful, the staff are very courteous and the rooms are very pleasant. The hotel staff stored our luggage whilst we travelled to another location. We fully recommend staying at this wonderful hotel.
