Comments on Gulangyu Villa, while the hotel has excellent embience (very quiet) and just beside a beach, it could be better managed; particularly the rooms. For example, there was no room heating, tap water smelled of rust, drainage was poor and one ended up bathing in a tub of water, there were many mouldy areas in the toilet, etc. Gulangyu should capitalise on its natural environment as a strong selling point. |
