Nice Tibetan-themed presentation throughout the hotel. Rooms very well done and exceedingly comfortable. Excellent 5-star value for money. Two-for-one dinner buffet in the hotel's restaurant was an excellent deal with varied and tasty options.
Hotel's only drawback is its location: even though you can get to the center of town in about 10-15 minutes by taxi, Tibet Hotel is too far off the beaten path if you want to get out and do some easy exploring. The neighborhood doesn't have much to offer, unfortunately.

Comment
I stayed only 1 night and I appreciate this hotel, but it is very short to give a quotation on leisure and ambience !
Next time I will go to Chengdu, I will stay at the TIBET Hotel. Very nice hotel.

The Tibet Hotel was very nice and a great value for the money. My children loved the bowling alley. I can't comment on the breakfast since we left too early in the morning to try it. The coffee shop was fine though the food is cooked to order so the wait was 35 minutes...somewhat long for kids. The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. Internet was fine, too.

We stayed at the Tibet Hotel (Chengdu) for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. While the ambience of the hotel is wonderful, what was really helpful was the staff. Over the course of our three-week trip through China we stayed in a number of hotels and I would rate the staff helpfulness at this hotel as the best I encountered anywhere.

I should say that Tibet Hotel in Chengdu is the best hotel in all the cities I visited on this trip. I will book the hotel if I go back there again. Very nice hotel.
