Water is the soul of Lijiang. The Brook and Bridge Inn is located right next to the clear Yuhe River and the famous southern gate bridge of Lijiang. The river runs along our lovely and peaceful courtyard, from where you can see its clear water calmly flowing by. Our courtyard is a great place to enjoy the year-round sunshine, read books, drink tea, use the Internet, feed the fish, and listen to the sound of the stream. Sometimes you can see local children come to the river to catch fish, which gives you a unique look into local customs.
The Brook and Bridge Inn opened in January 2008 and is conveniently located in the old town, only a five-minute walk from Square Street. Our inn is decorated in traditional Naxi style. The Brook and Bridge Inn is an ideal place for you to escape the hustle and bustle of the big cities and relax in a pleasant and homely atmosphere. A little gem of a hotel, just off busy Qiyi St but quiet and peaceful beside the lovely running brook. Maggie was most helpful to us, even meeting us at the bus station (we were English speakers only) and the rooms were well serviced and in every way our stay was assited, made comfortable and enjoyable. |
