The Hotel was rebuilt on the site of the original Kui Jia Chang Hotel of the Ministry of Coal, which is located at No. 6 Kui Jia Chang Hu Tong, East Street of Beijing Railway Station -- a golden hub in the city center-- with the Second Ring Road and the newly-built park of the Great Wall Site of the Ming Dynasty to its east and the well-known Chang An Street to its north.
Opened in 2004.

It is only 300 meters away from Beijing Railway Station (please turn right at Beijing Railway Station exit, then turn to Dayangmao Hutong at the first traffic light, to the right at the end of the Hutong, you will find the hotel) and is close to Tian An Men Square (about 10 minutes by bus).
The nearby buildings include the state functional authorities, such as the National Tourist Office, the Ministry of Communication, the General Administration of Customs, the Supreme People's Court, China Women's Activity Center, etc.
The functional agencies: the Beijing Radio Station, Beijing News Plaza, Chinese National Service Center for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad as well as such advanced CBDs as Henderson Center, COFCO Plaza, SCITECH Plaza and China World Trade Center.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and all three times have been very good. Having a computer in my room for only 20 yuan a day is great too. The one bedroom apartment was very good except the shower faucet does not work properly so it was hard to get really hot water. The staff in the restuarant is very good but the people at the front desk sometimes do not act friendly. I recommend this hotel especially to foreign travelers because they speak English and it is walking distance to the train station. |

Really recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the centre of Beijing for a low price. Behind Beijing Railway station and close to the subway. Only the size of the room and the lack of a chair was a let down. But the friendliness of the staff more than compensated this. Recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly! |
