The Chong Wen Men Hotel is located at the side of Chong Wen Men Cross downtown Beijing. It is a three star hotel which combines tourism, food and beverage, and recreation. The more than three hundred suites are of different standards, and are all very comfortable. Its famous Maxim's Restaurant and Lou Zhong Yuan Restaurant, advanced and convenient business and conference services, recreation facilities and stylist center welcome guests from all over the world.
At reasonable prices, elegant and impressive meeting rooms of different sizes are available. Facilities such as projector, screen, audio system, VCD, video cassette recorder and white board are provided. Sizes of the meeting rooms range from 60 to 200 square meters, and are capable of 20 to 100 people for discussion, training, seminars, or small sized press meetings. Service staff will be designated. As for a "deluxe suite", its not very "deluxe". I'd expect at least aminibar with contents, and perhaps coffe and alike on the room, not just 1 teabag. Also, there are no glasses in the room, wich is a minus. Also, the rooms are a bit worn out.
Besides that, its good value for the room and price, location is good, staff is very nice and friendly, and most of them speak generally good english. Problems are fixed very fast. Big plus that its hot water all the times.
All minuses aside, id recommend this hotel for anyone! |

Hairs all over the carpet! They tried to let us much more than the booked price. The Touristik-Tours you can book in the Hotel are the double of the normal price.

The place enjoys excellent location, near a metro subway station, a modern shopping plaza with food court, and a tidy local market. The rooms are tidy and clean. The staff are very helpful at all times, even at 5 am in the morning when helping us to check out. This is my second time stay here and the service is even better than the last time. It is value for money and I will stay here again. |
