Far from being a 5* hotel, let alone it shouldn't be called a 'resort'!
The pools either contain green, durty water or are empty with weeds growing on the bottom. The drive to the town is not 30 minutes, but a minimum of 1 hour (1 hour 30 minutes is more comfortable, but speeding the driver gets you in a bit more then an hour to Shanghai). No public or taxi transport is available. So called illegal taxis need to be arranged to get to the city for around 150 RMB one way.
I had to complain serveral times because of bathroom flooding before I was given another room. Except eggs (fried, overly done and no bacon), don't except to find any 'Western' tastes at the breakfast buffet.
The staff is patient, friendly smiling and trying to be helpful, when dealing with one of the very few and poorly (English) speaking staff that is.
Other than that, rooms are 5* worthy and spacious, but the tap water is not drinkable and the bottled water distinctly tastes of chlore.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel (for the time being). |
