The Mandarin Garden Hotel is a luxurious international 5-star hotel located just north of the famous Confucius Temple in the Qinhuai Scenic District.

There are 442 guest rooms including standard rooms, deluxe suites, presidential suites, apartments and rooms for the disabled. The hotel includes two wings.
Wing A includes 77 standard rooms, 4 single rooms, 5 super standard rooms, 3 tour guide rooms, 8 executive suites, 2 suites in Japanese style, 1 princess suite, and 1 Mandarin Garden suite. Altogether the building has 101 rooms/suites.
Wing B has 210 standard rooms including 24 rooms, 9 standard rooms, 41 single rooms including 5 for disabled people, 56 rooms with a king's bed, 3 tour guide rooms, 9 standard rooms, 11 apartments, 1 deluxe suite, and 1 presidential suite. The B has 341 rooms/suites in total.
The hotel maintains 10 uniquely and luxuriously decorated banquet rooms in Wing A and B. They are: Heroes Banquet Room, Pine and Rock Banquet Room, Bamboo Grove Banquet Room, Plum Blossom Banquet Room, Golden Carp Banquet Room, Duke Banquet Room, Prince Banquet Room, and Tongwen Hall.
The recreational facilities include:
Bowling - Located in the basement. All equipment made in USA. A Ping-Pong Room is also available.
Indoor Golf Center - located on the 3rd floor of Building B and equipped with a world-class golf simulator, practice, and putting area.
Squash - Located on the 3rd floor of Wing B. International standard. First-class decoration.
Indoor Swimming Pool - Located on the 3rd floor of Wing B. Consistant temperature all the year round.
Billiards - On the 3rd floor of Wing B. Standard snooker in a graceful environment.

I hotel was absolutely perfect for vacation and business stays. It's location is 15 - 20 minutes away from all sites, train station, universities - it is ideal. I loved the hotel except I had one issue. I understand the expense it must take to clean carpets, but the carpets in the hotel room and restaurant need replacing. A 5-star hotel should not represent itself with torn and old carpets in its establishment. |

Staff were polite and tried their best to understand my lack of Chinese! It was disappointing to find the swimming pool closed as we had all been looking forward to this facility and felt we should have been warned in advance about it's closure for repair. A fantastic,if noisy,location to see the real Nanjing! |
