First, on arrival I was told there was no trace of my booking. My colleaugues who arrived several hours earlier were told there was no trace of their booking, but they only had mine. There followed a difficult discussion about the price, and I almost had to call Sinohotel to help clarify the situation. I booked with two colleagues for an ISO meeting in the Biejing International COnvention Centre, so the location was fine. I think there needs to be some action to rectify the apparent "loss" of booking information. FOr non-Chinese speaking visitor it is difficult to be understood in this hotel.

Terrific place! Great location; very new, quality construction. VERY little english spoken but otherwise seems more like a four-star.
Internet in room; great restaurant; elegant room furnishings; great kingsize bed; The day staff is terrific but the night staff leaves a lot to be desired. By the way, they do want the full, total price of your anticipated stay, up-front, when you check in. |
