The Oriental Riverside Hotel, synonomous to the Shanghai International Convention Center, is the first and only hotel categorized as a 5-star Convention Hotel in Pudong. Located in the heart of Lujiazui, in Shanghai's Financial & Trade Zone and southwest of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The hotel is accessible from all parts of the city through various modes of transportation.
This is a luxurious 5-star hotel located along the panoramic Huangpu River. The River is only a short walk away from the hotel, and from this section of the River, one can enjoy the most splendid view of Old Shanghai's skyline. With a capacity for 3,000 individuals, the Grand Ballroom on the 7th floor is the largest pillar-less ballroom in Shanghai. 25 additional meeting rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities are located on the 3rd and 5th floor with seating capacity from 25 to 800 persons.
Exhibitions including the 1999 Fortune Global Forum, 2001 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, North Korean Delegation, 35th Asian Development Bank Board Meeting, and the 7th regular meeting between the Chinese premier and his Russian counterpart were held in the hotel with great success.
