Paradise Resort hotel was very nice. Our family stayed 2 nights and were all quite pleased with the amenities and location. It is close to Big Wild Goose Pagoda but would be a long walk to the busier sections of town. We chose to be in the quieter section purposefully. The assistant manager spoke English and most of the staff seemed to speak a smattering of English. Tours from the hotel were reasonably priced but you will be able to save money by using an independent guide and driver. We were disappointed that the Japanese-style pool was closed. |

Once again, this is a beautiful hotel and much 'grander' than the price suggests. Rooms are very spacious and immaculately kept. The staff have a much higher level of English than they did last year. The restaurant is excellent and very reasonaby priced (except for breakfast). I think the management style at the hotel needs rethinking, however, many of the staff seem so anxious to anticipate one's every wish that guests feel they are terrified of making the slightest mistake - not conducive to a relaxing stay!

The hotel was one of the two best places that we stayed in China! The food was excellent and so was the room. The only thing I would have done differently is taken the breakfast with the room it was a little expensive by itself. I took advantage of the inexpensive massage at the hotel and it was great. Thanks for your help with this hotel. |
