Distinguishing features are: It has three hundred year's history. It was Jing the merchant's house, built with high standards. The hotel is located on the downtown-Ming Qing Street, but is quiet and elegant.
Yunjincheng Folk Hotel belongs to the Pingyao International Financiers'Club and has 18 Ming and Qing Dynasty courtyards including 80 Deluxe Rooms and Standard Rooms. Since it opened in 1998, the hotel has become famous for its elegant enviroment and excellent service.
There is one meeting room of 300 square meters, with a capacity of 50 people, and provided are: paper and pen, white board and projection.

There are 30 guest rooms including Standard Twin Rooms, 16 Deluxe Rooms (approx 35 square meters), and 12 Deluxe Suites (approx.35 square meters). Each room has private bathroom, 24-hour hot water, traditional kang (heated brick bedstead) and furniture.

I loved this hotel!!! The location, room and service were superb. One cannot do better than with this hotel. The Ming-style rooms were charming; the contemporary bathroom was perfect. Staff were so helpful and friendly. |

Beautiful hotel in an old courtyard house. Great location in the best part of Pingyao.
However, breakfast buffet was way below expected for a $89 a night room. |
