Shifeng Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence is strategically located along the South Hai Yu Road, an up-market commercial district of Changshu City. It is diagonally opposite the city's first and only Fangta pedestrian shopping street.
Changshu is an economically vibrant city in Jiangshu province, midway between Shanghai and Nanjing. It is 100km, or 90 minutes’ drive, from Shanghai and is a highly industrialized city famous for its garments, electronics, and manufacturing industries.
Tourist attractions include Yu Mountain, with its ancient temple and famous Yu Tea plantation. At the foot of Yu Mountain lies the Shang Lake, which is a scenic recreational spot with facilities like teashops, inns, paddleboats, and restaurants.
Shifeng Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence is the tallest building in the city. The hotel's La Vida Restaurant is the city's first revolving restaurant, serving international cuisine on the 28th floor. There is an adjoining 5-storey commercial podium block. The total room inventory is 346, comprising hotel rooms and suites. There are also more than 100 units of apartment and apartment suite. Other food and beverage outlets include a Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor, with 29 private dining rooms, the exclusive Xiang Yun Ge Chinese restaurant on the 27th floor, with 10 well appointed private dining rooms, and a lobby lounge. The locations of the hotel was close to the pedestrian street and a new shopping mall was within 100m. A nice area of the city. The room booked was not available on check in but a smaller room at a cheaper rate was accepted reluctantly. The characteristic door banging at all hours and loud talking in the corridors was evident which seems to be a trait fo the Chinese local hotel industry. |
