Get off at Baijia Zhuang stop(NO.703, 725, little 35),

We stayed here for 10 days in January. Our room was on the top (non-smoking) floor. The hotel was fairly new (built in 05) and despite a few small carpet stains, everything was quite clean and new. The only drawback to the room was that there is no bathtub, so when you take a shower the water can run all over the bathroom floor. But we found that for a Chinese 3-star hotel in Beijing, the room was very comfortable.
The hotel staff was always courteous and very helpful. We ordered room service a few times from the hotel restaurant, and the food was decent and reasonably priced, only a few kuai more than an average restaurant outside the hotel. There is an elementary school and a CD/DVD store across the street that can sometimes be very loud in the mornings and evenings.
Maybe the only serious drawback was the location, which was hidden away in an alley off the third ring road going north. You (or the hotel staff through your cell phone) have to give very specific directions to the taxi driver. But the hotel is basically a 8-10 minute walk from the Zhaolong Hotel, so it's in walking distance to many of the night spots on Sanlitun.
Will definitely consider staying here again. |
