The hotel is situated relatively far from Gongbei where all the action lies. Hotel room is so so considering the price you pay for. If you want to see the "actions" and is on a budget, stay in Guangdong Regency for about $50US. If you are after willing to pay $80 or above, perhaps Grand Bay View Hotel is a better choice. It's deluxe room comes with an electronic toilet that wipes your buttock at no cost. |

The view from the 16th floor is spectacular on the seaview side. The hotel staff is very polite, and they can speak English. For example, you can order room service in English, but use simple phrases like "I would like to order..." Otherwise, you will have to repeat yourself many times. It helps to be travelling with someone who speaks Mandarin. Overall, an excellent value for the money. |
