The Hebei Grand Hotel is an international 4-star standardized hotel that has more than 30 years history. It is not only the earliest hotel in Shijiazhuang receiving heads of state and foreign guests, but also a main receiving center for all kinds of important activities both outside and inside Hebei Province.
The hotel has various recreation facilities including a tennis court, gymnasium, beauty salon, billiards room, sauna and bowling alley. Other facilities include Conference Halls & convention facilities, a Business Center that provides basic secretarial services, and a tourist office and shopping arcade.

It is lcoated 35 kilometers to the airport, 4 kilometers to the railway station and 3 kilometers to the entrance of Jing-Shen Highway. Situated just outside the hotel there are bus stops and taxi stops.

There are no wardrobes in some of the rooms. Mini refrigeratory is available in some rooms.

The ambience and location are excellent. The staff friendly, helpful and speak very good English.
What lets this hotel down badly are the rooms. The rooms are advertised as having fridge, mini-bar and in room safe. Unfortunaley this is not the case. Further - there are no wardrobes or locker space to put your clothes and you really do have to live out of your suitcase. The bed is incredibly hard. To their credit - the staff gave me an extra quilt to lie on.
The rooms are more akin to an 80RMB a night hostel rather than a 4 star hotel. And I had the de-luxe room!
Only recommend for a desperate one night stop over. Any longer then there are better hotels available. |
