Misty rain

Lijiang River is beautiful all year-round. However, it is at its most fascinating in spring as mist and rain cover the area with a magical aura. The mist reminds many of a thin silk curtain with mountain peaks appearing intermittently through the clouds, the rain curtain covering the waters, and the gleaming chain of mountains along with the many-colored hills looking like so many watercolor paintings.

The sprawling farmlands covered in golden rapeseed stretches right up to the horizon, forming a sea of yellow buds and filling the air with the sweet smells of spring.
