In a very convenient location and the staff were extremely helpful. We arrived late in the evening and they got us train tickets for the next morning within 5 minutes. The rooms were nice too, though somehow the cold water in my shower didn't work properly even after I had asked them to fix it. We didn't use the leisure facilities. |

Well, I have never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and i would suggest that (provided you have the money) it's the only way to go in China. The staff were great, most of them spoke English and the ones that didn't went and found a staff member who did. The hotel had everything advertised unlike to hotel I stayed in, in Wuhan who advertised having a pool and didn't.
You should be careful if your coming from the train station, 2 Taxi drivers told me that there were 3 hotels by that name in the city (I believe other wise though) and that it would cost me Y30 to get there (They both refused to put their meters on), so i finally found a taxi driver who would put he's meter on and he knew where it was straight away without asking what street it was in, it only cost me Y8 from the Train Station. Don't believe any taxi driver who refuses to put his meter on, it is ilegal in China not to.
The pool was great, the best time to go is just before lunch (there was no-one in there then).
The only problem i had was the internet in the business center was a little pricey Y20 an hour, and like many 5 star hotels their restaurants were also pricey.
All up I would stay at the Hua Tian Hotel any time I am in Changsha. Very enjoyable. 8 out of 10! |
