My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights at the start of January. First, contrary to its description, it is not on the "edge of West Lake," but is instead across the street from the Reggae Bar (expat club) and around the corner from the northeastern edge of the Botanical Gardens. We were hoping to be within walking distance of the Lake, but it was much too far. Second, you should be apprised that there is a loud dance club in a wing of the fourth floor of the hotel. We were in room 615, which was part of a wing of the hotel facing the night club. On both nights, there was a lot of noise coming from clubbers going in and out of the club and hanging around in the hallways around the club. It was especially bad on the second night (Monday night). Around 2:30am, several clubbers were chasing each other and shouting in the hallways around the club. This went on for another half hour, and I complained to the hotel staff. They said the best they could do was move us to another room! No apologies or anything. The clubbers finally left about an hour later. We checked out the next morning. Don't stay in the hotel unless you like living across from a noisy nightclub. |

Very kind staff.
Restaurant: the bread was not fresh but the others ok
insisde a bit old, they should change the carpets and do some other renovation. The bar refrigerator was too laud during the night.

A very nice hotel with clean rooms, reliable service (f.e. laundry) and friendly, helpful staff. Moreover, in walking distance to the West Sea. |
