(Sorry, in my previous comment I kept on referring to LuanHu Lu, when the correct spelling is LianHu Lu).
As mentioned in another post, the staff were very friendly and we found the exchange rates reasonable. |

Reasonably clean rooms, serviced daily, including change of shower curtain. Some little extras, like daily banana cake! My parents found this place comfortable, and I spent quite some time as well (I lived around the corner)!
No CCTV-9 (English), unfortunately. Travel service was able to arrange some transport at reasonable cost. Location may not be as convenient, for some people, as living right next to the Bell Tower. However, there are plenty of restaurants nearby (head inside the nearby gate, YuXiangMen, and east along LuanHu Lu (bread shops on the north side just before XiBeiSan Lu or some restaurants on the south side). Alternatively, there are a few restaurants, plenty of fresh fruit shops and supermarkets on XiBeiYi Lu, which branches off the north side of LuanHu Lu). Xian Dynasty is a short taxi ride from ZhongLou (Bell Tower) etc. |

The hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly, however the gym pictured in the hotel information leaflet does not exist. We were also told that the saunas and jacuzzi facilities didn't open until 3pm, when in the information it claimed to close at 4pm. There was also a weird hairdressers in the hotel which opened from 10pm to 2am. The complimentary bath robes are also not complimentary. I can still recommend the hotel to travelers for its good room rates, currency exchange with little commission and prime location. |
